Two Favorite Interviews from World Premiere of The Hobbit in New Zealand

Love him looking so happy. Love his laugh, I've never seen him laugh and smile so much. 

Below are two of my favorite interviews so far, and both interviewers ask him the "sex symbol" question in different ways. In the video I just love the feedback from Martin Freedman and Andy Serkis about Richard's answer!  

As a shy person myself, I understand why this question makes him uncomfortable (though in my case, I'm in no danger of being called "hot"). Beautiful that in both of these interviews his answers, and the reaction of those around him, also give us a glimpse of his sense of humor.

I had the great privilege today to have a short chat on Twitter with the journalist who interviewed Armitage for the magazine, Jesus Usero. He's given me his OK to copy what he said below, and I'll follow with a translation (forgive me if I paraphrase a little, and for the lack of accents in Spanish!).

Translation of the Twitter chat:

I asked him if the interview was in person or via telephone, and Usero said it was via telephone. He's not entirely sure, but he thinks Richard Armitage was in London at the time.

He said : Interview was very friendly, agreeable and that Richard is "a marvelous person and the interview was a delight."  Interviews are not always that way he says. Really is worthwhile to read the interview.

Usero assures us the interview is memorable.

You see I'm a bit of a hobbit myself, like my comforts, 

but just like Bilbo I do have a hidden Took side, and when I found out there would be a premiere near me in New York I just had to go on this adventure.  I'm so happy to have RA Friends to share this adventure with.
