Too Many Gary's? At Least It's Not John: Richard Armitage in Black Sky

Richard Armitage as Gary Morris in Black Sky

When I heard that Richard Armitage's name in his new movie Black Sky was Gary Morris it kept bothering me that the name was so very familiar. At first I thought maybe it was someone I knew, you know, someone maybe I worked with long ago, or someone in school even longer ago. Then this morning it hit me!

Most people probably know the song from Bette Midler's recording of it, but I was around when the other Gary Morris recorded it, and that's how I first heard the song.

It is appropriate since Richard Armitage is the "Wind Beneath My Wings"

As for the real Gary Morris, thank you for a wonderful song. A salute to Gary Morris fans from an Armitage fan.

Looking forward to hearing RA's American accent as the other Gary Morris.

  4. Great sleuthing Fabo! I hadn't heard of this singer. I do love this song so it is wonderful to have it linked to an RA character.

I only know him for this one song, but now I'm curious to see what else he's recorded.
