Hello Beautiful Face

Hello Beautiful Face

Actually, I'm not sure how I feel. I love the beard, but also missed that beautiful clean-shaven profile, and my favorite stubble.

But the beard, your gorgeous beard RA, is Thorin, and Proctor, and one day soon, Dr. White.

A Bit of Background on "The Edge of Night" Song in The Hobbit: BOTFA Teaser Trailer

The Road Goes Ever On

Roads go ever, ever on
Under cloud and under star,
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar,
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone

"The Edge of Night" sung by Billy Boyd in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King which has lyrics from the last verse of "A Walking Song"  (From Wikipedia)

A Walking Song

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A suden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We'll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.

Anti-Socialite?

Antisocialite

(n) A person who defies fashion and trendiness passively, by just being an individual.

The polar opposite of a socialite.

Not to be confused with an antisocial, antisocialites do not shun socializing, but rather avoid using it as a lifestyle (as socialites do).

Also not to be confused with a nonconformist, who purposely does the opposite of anything they deem to be "in" at a given time.

Did You Know There Are Two Cheetah Brothers Named Richard and Armitage?

Richard and Armitage

I didn't know about them, did you? Or maybe I just don't remember?

From the Serengeti Cheetah Project Blog:

The first follow I tried was out on the eastern edge of the park in an beautiful area called Barafu.  I found two brothers named Richard and Armitage early in the morning, and followed them as they marked their territory, took a snooze in the long grass and then sauntered towards a small kopje (rocky outcropping).  Unlike mothers with cubs, male cheetahs don't have to worry too much about other predators so they have a much more nonchalant and confident way of walking.  They strolled up to the kopje and were about 30m away when they noticed there was a male lion resting in the shade of a tree.  One of them did a quick about face and walked away but the other stood there staring at the lion for a while until it stood up.  Then deciding discretion is the better part of valour, he too turned around and walked away.  They meandered down into a dry river bed where suddenly a lost baby wildebeest appeared.  20 seconds later they had it, and I was cursing as I tried to drive over extremely rough and broken ground to get to them to collect data.

Sadly from the last report they (Richard and Armitage) seem to be going through a difficult time right now. It's tough to be a cheetah, almost as tough as being an actor! Luckily our own lovely Richard is having fun working on his new film.

They also have a Facebook page:

Wonder if Richard knows about cheetah brothers Richard and Armitage.
