I feel like he looks different in so many scenes... His beard is darker in one and then lighter in another. I heard rumors that he plays himself as a "younger" version. I think it would be sweet to see how he actually got his nickname of oakenshield.

DeleteHe's talked recently in interviews that he plays Thorin at different ages, but you're right that he looks different, even in the trailers. Yes, in the book they just briefly give the Oakenshield story, how great to see him as a hero!
