Happy Birthday Richard Armitage - August 22, 2015

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR RICHARD

 (writing to RA in more than 140 characters)

What a wonderful work year this has been for you.

From The Crucible to Brain on Fire

What a wonderful year this has been for us too, your fans/well-wishers.  It has always been, and continues to be, a wonderful adventure to follow your career.

I've been quietly celebrating that it's been ten years this year since I first saw you as John Thornton.

You have been a revelation as The Great Red Dragon my dear, and I can't believe there are only two episodes left.  I hadn't watched Hannibal before, but once again you helped me discover something I've enjoyed, something I wouldn't have discovered if not for you.

It's been fun also to join the Fannibals on Thursdays and now Saturdays to watch you become both Francis and the Red Dragon. (And I also lurk on Wednesdays). I'm not quite a Fannibal, but it has been such fun again to be part of a global group having fun with the moment, and being part of your moment to shine. (And amazed at how scary yet vulnerable your Francis is.) I haven't felt this much part of a world group dynamic since The Hobbit premieres. Yes, I miss those too already. Will you miss them, I wonder.

Any Hobbit EE fan events in NYC this fall? Just asking.

Bravo for all the universally wonderful reviews of your performance as Francis Dolarhyde and the Red Dragon. So well deserved and I'm in awe.  My wish is that the elusive American audience will finally, finally, discover how wonderful you are.

So excited for the future, all the films you've worked on that we have yet to see, and the ones we know you'll be working on, and all the movies, TV shows, book narrations, and etc. you will surprise and enthrall us with in the future to come.

And all the interviews.  I love your interviews.

Thank you for all the books I would have never read, or listened to, or known about, or explored,if not for you. Thank you for all the authors I've discovered.  I started a list on the blog of the most recent Armitage related/recommended books I'm reading. You are  my Book Guru.

This special day is not only your wonderful birthday Richard, but Happy Twitterversary too....One Year Twitterversary.

I know it has to be challenging at times, Twitter I mean.  I wasn't one of the ones that wanted you to join Twitter, I didn't think you would. But I am very grateful and happy that you did and appreciate all you share with us. Always enjoy when you tease us or tweet us clues we have fun trying to decipher. I do hope you also find some true enjoyment being on Twitter and having us, your fans/well-wishers, share a few moments with you.  At least I hope you enjoy Twitter most of the time. I hope you really enjoy Twitter today and all your happy birthday wishes.

Very Happy Birthday lovely man, lovely Richard - have a beautiful birthday day.

Feliz Cumple

Forgive me for getting sentimental today....

I do not love thee!—no! I do not love thee!
And yet when thou art absent I am sad;
And envy even the bright blue sky above thee,
Whose quiet stars may see thee and be glad.

I do not love thee!—yet, I know not why,
Whate’er thou dost seems still well done, to me:
And often in my solitude I sigh
That those I do love are not more like thee!

I do not love thee!—yet, when thou art gone,
I hate the sound (though those who speak be dear)
Which breaks the lingering echo of the tone
Thy voice of music leaves upon my ear.

I do not love thee!—yet thy speaking eyes,
With their deep, bright, and most expressive blue,
Between me and the midnight heaven arise,
Oftener than any eyes I ever knew.

I know I do not love thee! yet, alas!
Others will scarcely trust my candid heart;
And oft I catch them smiling as they pass,
Because they see me gazing where thou art.
